Simón BolívarWho he was where he is today?The great liberator of South America, Simon Bolívar (1783-1830), won freedom for Bolivia, Colombia (then including Panama), Ecuador, Peru, and his native Venezuela.
This magnificent 27-foot bronze equestrian statue is at the corner of 18th and C Streets at Virginia Avenue in NW Washington D. C. There are six water jets adjoining the statue to symbolize the countries Bolívar lead to freedom. ™Quién era el y donde esta hoy?El gran libertador de América del Sur, Simon Bolívar (1783-1830), ganó la libertad para Bolivia, Colombia (entonces incluyendo a Panamá), Ecuador, Perú, y su natal Venezuela.
