Many of the major events of U.S. Hispanic history are covered in the timeline (mostly) written by my students over the past several years. It is by no means complete, but it gives readers a good idea of the long, widespread and profound impact of Hispanics in North America. This video is only a sampling of the first few events of the 16th century. To see my students' essays, go to: Hispanic American History Timeline — Let's start with the 16th century
